The accident occurred on January 16 at 8.30pm on a right-hand bend of the road.
Sergeant Sheehan of Hume Local Area Command said the truck was carrying 447 sheep.
Of those, 305 survived the accident.
The truck had been travelling from Forbes to Milton Abattoir.
As a result of the accident, a 16-year-old male passenger was transported by air ambulance to Canberra Hospital as a precautionary measure.
He has since been released.
A local council ranger and Local Land Services officer assisted police who came from Boorowa and Crookwell and attended to the sheep.
Some sheep had to be euthanized and others died as a result of the accident.
Police have issued the driver with an infringement notice.
