All competitors must be members of the Australian Barrel Horse Association, ABCRA members and others can join the ABHA either on line or at the Tin Spinners competition on Sunday. To be eligible to compete for the annual point score buckles entrants must have full ABHA membership. Day membership is available but annual membership is more economical for competitors participating in several events throughout the 2018 season and be in the running for a buckle.
Classes includes tiny tots led and unled, juniors 12 and under, 13 – 17 years, Over 35 years, junior rookie, open rookie, and open division 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Dot Dewsbury from the Tableland Tin Spinners said the club was hoping that by conducting their event on the back of the Goulburn Rodeo, which also holds barren racing competitions, their participant numbers on Sunday would be increased. The Tablelands Tin Spinners are still looking for more competition sponsors. They are also interested in talking to anyone who would like to join this fast action sport, with levels of competition for beginners to masters.
