Since its inception in 2008, the Wakefield 300 has grown into one of Australia’s most popular endurance races. Unlike other multi-class endurance events, cars in the Wakefield 300 are not categorised by mechanical specifications; instead, divisions are based on lap-times. This allows a wide variety of cars to compete on a level playing field. This weekend there are 26 competitors in the Wakefield 300 including Mazda MX5s, Hyundai Excels, Nissans, Subaru, Honda, Mitsubishi Lancers, Peugeots, BMW, a Ginetta and Lotus. Other classes supporting the Wakefield Park Motor Racing Series this weekend are HQ sedans, East Coast Minis and Formula Vs.
Entry to Wakefield Park this weekend is free. The canteen will be open and gates open at 7am each day.
