The 2018 schedules are available now from goulburnshow.com.au or the Goulburn Show office, Gate 3, Goulburn Recreation Area Showground, Braidwood Road, Mondays, 2-4pm.
We have some fantastic new competitions this year that you need to check out and enter. Just to name a few: in Produce, we have the schools display, giant vegetables, best decorated pumpkin and the popular scarecrow competition; in Flowers, we will be looking for Goulburn’s best roses, bonsai, floral art and the garden clubs display; in Food and Cookery, the rich fruit cake competition is always popular, as are the jams and preserves, and we’ll soon see who’s Goulburn’s champion men’s cook; see the quilts in the Needlework section, the most creative tea cosy in Craft, and wool articles/garments; Junior Art has had a revamp with a popsicle stick challenge and creative colouring in; don’t miss the Art section with photography, drawing, ceramics, sculpture and painting; and did we mention the Wine showcase and a Brewery section?
Paper entry forms will be accepted at the Basketball Stadium on Braidwood Road (Gate 5) over February 21-23, from 11am to 6pm; and February 26, from 9am to 6pm.
Produce exhibits can be delivered on Thursday, March 1 before 6pm, and all flowers are to be staged by March 3 at 8.45am.
Goulburn Show membership is still open and we are always looking for sponsorship and donations.
