Sunset Lodge has a cosy, one-bedroom, self-contained unit for rent. It includes a kitchen with meal bench, a lounge room, an ensuite and a spacious bedroom. The ensuite has room for laundry items and storage cupboards are inbuilt. This unit would be suitable for two retirees or a single. Community care is available along with meals (conditions apply) and placement into the aged care facility may be arranged when required.
Aged care packs are also available for permanent or respite care at Sunset Lodge, Taralga or View Haven Lodge, Crookwell. The application pack contains relevant information when choosing to enter one of the aged care facilities. The pack is also available at the MeetUp program.
Feel free to drop in and pick up a pack during business hours or call on 4822 437 to arrange a tour of facilities and units.
Warm Hall
Richard Davison, president of the War Memorial Hall Committee, thanks the Wind Farm Committee for awarding the grant for the heating in the Memorial Hall. Richard is pleased to announce that the heating, the ceiling fans and all the associated electrical work is completed and ready for operation in the winter. The window blinds are also installed and operational. The community of Taralga, especially those who use the hall, will greatly benefit from these improvements, which have been much needed for a number of years. Richard would also like to like to thank the Upper Lachlan Shire Council for their co-operation in this project.
AUSTRALIA DAY COMMITTEE
A meeting of the committee was held at the Club on Thursday last. The meeting enabled the executive and stewards to report on their section of the recent Australia Day Celebrations. All agreed that the days had been very successful and feedback was generally very good. It is too early to give a financial result as some accounts are not yet finalised. The next meeting will also be at the Club on March 15 before the alternate meeting pattern is resumed.
