CUC Goulburn centre manager Ash Jones said the interest and enthusiasm from students across the region has been “fantastic”.
Over 35 students have already enrolled to use the services housed at the TAFE NSW Goulburn campus.
She said she expected numbers to rise once the site was in more active use.
“People are a little reluctant not knowing what it is. Once people see the space, and see how user friendly it is, numbers will definitely increase,” Ms Jones said.
Crookwell resident and second year University of Wollongong graphic design undergraduate student Madeline Cummins said it was “nice to know I have a place to go when I’m back home visiting family and friends”.
“CUC will be a space I will use when I’m home and need somewhere to focus on assessments,” she said.
Local interior designer Tracy O’Rourke is currently redesigning the building to “inspire the creative mind”.
CUC Goulburn will be a space for local students offering academic and administrative support.
