Recently the Goulburn Country Music Association donated $1500 to Warrigal Care as part of their ongoing support for the facility.
Goulburn Country Music Association treasurer Norma Pooley said they fundraised throughout the year.
“We do a lot of fundraising for the community through our monthly social music sessions and other shows,” she said.
“A group of musicians is playing at the Warrigal Fete on April 14 as well.”
Warrigal deputy residential services manager Debbie Luscombe said the donation was greatly accepted.
“It will be put towards a palliative care room to provide the best palliative care services we can,” she said.
“We mentor carers and staff who have an interest in palliative care and we want to mentor best practice in this area at this important time in our residents’ lives.”
Warrigal residential services manager Julia Hook said the palliative care room at the facility provided great comfort to families.
“The palliative care room has been set up to to improve on the dignity and comfort of residents in those last days,” she said.
