Rotarians from Goulburn were recently treated to a private tour and a close-up look at Australia’s first co-located wind and solar farm at Gullen Range.

Majority owners, BJCE Australia, gave 19 members of the Argyle Rotary group a two-hour tour followed by afternoon tea at the Goulburn Workers Club.
“Tours are a great way for the community to learn about our projects and the benefits of wind and solar energy,” BJCE Australia asset manager Leo Pearce said
“We have public tours running every two months until the end of the year and we’ve also run them for local schools.”
The club has a strong focus on working the local community. Their recent projects include: repairing the Sensory Garden and car park which assists Crescent school for children with disabilities; working with the Men’s shed, and supporting Angels For The Forgotten charity.
“The tour today was a great opportunity for us to see exactly what’s happening in our community and the opportunities the farm offers,” Rotary member Mick Cooper said.
The Gullen Range Wind Farm Community Fund provides grants to projects or initiatives that benefit the community within 10km of the wind farm. Applications are due before April 13.
