The delegation from the Mongolian National Farmers Association came here on December 2.
The delegation was keen to view an Australian farm, having a particular interest in irrigation methods.
Local photographer Peter Sykes said Mongolian Ambassador Batali Chuluunhuu contacted Mr Lex Maas of Gilmore Station at Lake Bathurst, who offered to host the Mongolians.
Mr Maas gave them a tour of the shearing shed and stock handling equipment before a short drive to show them two examples of irrigation on the property.
He gave a demonstration, as well as an explanation of the benefits of each type.
A tour of the machinery shed followed with an explanation of the equipment used for cropping and pasture improvement.
A light lunch was enjoyed at The Gilmore Inn.
The delegation thanked Mr Maas for his time and effort and presented him with some tokens of appreciation from Mongolia before returning to Canberra.
