Lots of us missed doing our favourite things during 2020, but for the performers among us, it was a particularly painful year.

Nothing beats the thrill of sharing a song on the stage, so when the house lights went down in March, many songbirds went back to singing in the shower.
Which is why the Rocky Hill Musical Theatre Company's New Year's Eve celebration last night featured a dozen or so people belting it out at the microphone.
"It was a great opportunity to celebrate the year out with a bit of fun rather than all the doom and gloom we've had this year," said organiser (and Goulburn Mulwaree councillor) Alfie Walker.
The company's Hills Are Alive NYE event focused on songs of celebration, and the community embraced it with enthusiasm.
Guests were allowed to nominate a song then perform it (in a COVID-19 approved fashion) from the stage.
In March, the Rocky Hill MTC had to drop the curtain on their revue About Time just as it reached dress rehearsal stage.
While there is no word on when the show will be able to go on, the company does have other irons on the fire for 2021.
It announced on December 26 that is has received Country Arts Support Program (CASP) funding - along with eight other organisations - for a collaborative writing project for teens called 'How To Write A Musical'.
"For a number of years now, we've been collating ideas for educational workshops and training for kids, youth and adults in our region," said the announcement.
"It was meant to launch in 2020 but Covid crushed those plans. The timing, people and possibilities have all aligned for us to launch our educational workshops in 2021.
"Thank you to Create NSW and Southern Tablelands ARTS for providing the support and funding for our first program. We are one of eight local groups to receive funding in this round and we pass on our congratulations to the other region's recipients."
If you (ages 14-21) or a youth you know:
- is passionate about musical theatre,
- is interested in developing their musical writing, composition and production planning skills, from an Industry professional
- wants to have fun learning and gain new insights into how a musical is put together,
- and would like to work with a group of other passionate artsy teens,
then keep an eye out in January for all application requirements.
This program will run after school hours, both online and face to face, in Term 1, 2021.
