A woman has serious injuries after a head-on motor vehicle collision that occurred in the state’s south coast this morning.

Police were called to Sassafras Hill on Main Road 92, between Canberra and Nowra, shortly before 9.30am (Monday, 12 November 2012).
A woman was critically injured after her vehicle and a 4WD collided head-on. As a result of the impact the woman’s vehicle caught fire.
The driver of the 4WD suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The woman has been airlifted to St George Hospital.
Main Road 92 remains closed with local diversions in place. Police expect the road will be closed for the next few hours as investigations continue.
