With the Hume Highway on one side, the southern rail line on the other, rural land in between, a natural gas pipeline running through the area, Eureka Funds Management and Mycorp couldn't have hoped for much better.
As consultant and planning chief at UrbisJBH, John Wynne, told a public meeting last Tuesday, the site was "blessed" with its proximity to infrastructure.
The Murrays Flat business park proposal is a joint venture between Sydney superannuation outfit, Eureka Funds Management, and Mycorp, the original owner of land at South Goulburn on which Australand built the Coles Myer distribution centre.
The proponents will soon lodge a development application to Goulburn Mulwaree Council for a subdivision across 170 ha, on which businesses will accommodate a warehousing, distribution and logistics business park. It will eventually incorporate a rail intermodal, enabling easy transport of goods.
