FOUR months after its creation, the body promoting Goulburn as an educational destination has made some headway, with senior university staff set to visit the city soon for discussions.

"We've consulted with the University of Canberra and Charles Sturt University," steering committee member, Jim Maple-Brown said.
"We're just inquiring to see what ideas they have and what they're thinking about. They're positive, both of them, to do something here."
But actualities regarding courses are as yet unconfirmed, with all involved still "feeling out" the needs of the universities, the students and the city.
"It's mainly skills, more education for skills in any sort of, from trade skills to the more academic subjects," Mr Maple-Brown said.
