Having seen some of the young Leon Oberg's outstanding entries in the Goulburn Show, he was pretty impressed.
"I drove to his place of work at Farmers and Graziers (where he was a wool classer) in Gibson St and found him at the end of the building on this stinking, hot day. There I completed one of my most difficult tasks," Mr Leeson said this week.
"I eventually convinced him that that we could train him as a news photographer, and thus started a career which has been beneficial to the Post, and to Goulburn."
