WELL-known local businessman Neville Burrows has been awarded a medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the general division as part of the Queens Birthday Honour’s List today.

The businessman and philanthropist has received the honour for: “service to the community through philanthropic contributions to a range of charitable, youth, disabled and service organisations.”
The citation said the 76-yearold Mr Burrows has made philanthropic contributions to organizations such as Youth Off The Streets, The Salvation Army, and the Royal Blind Society.
While saying it was a great honour to be acknowledged, Mr Burrows said on Friday he was just doing his bit in giving back to the community.
