Goulburn and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Peter Keith said things appeared to be holding steady with last year.
“We are on par with last year and we had all of the financial stimulus packages then, so it is going well considering we are at a similar level this year without those measures,” Mr Keith said.
Meanwhile, a mixture of outdoor and hands-on items is filling up shopper’s carts.
Manager of Goulburn Toyworld Natalie Eggleston said it was pleasing that parents were buying a lot of outdoor toys for their children this year including scooters and bicycles.
