Despite reservations about the terms of their continued tenure at the Taralga Rd property, some groups had signed the agreements by yesterday.
However, the Argyle Theatre did not sign, committee member David Bell confirmed.
“It looks like we won’t be there any longer,” Mr Bell said yesterday.
Legal opinions were also split yesterday on whether prospective owners LAJC Energy Pty Ltd required the licences in order to settle the deal.
Liquidators McGrathNicol could not comment on whether the settlement took place.
LAJC Energy company director Lila Chan was not confirming the sale’s finalisation.
