Centre Cook - Goodstart Horsham
Location – 10 Madden Street - Horsham
Perm Part Time - 25 hours per week
As the sole cook for the service, you will be tasked with the critical job of providing the children at our service with healthy and nutritious meals. You will be required to provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years old
Be your own boss! Work in an autonomous environment & have flexibility to create an engaging menu. Excellent work life balance, no late nights or weekend work or public holidays!
About our Centre/Role
- 70 place centre, centrally located to transport, schools & shops
- Veggie patch to support educational programs
- Additional hours available if a qualified Educator
- 25 hours per week, 5 days a week either 8:30-1:30 OR 9:00-2pm

About You
- Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks
- Prepare meals to meet the needs of special dietary requirements and allergies
- Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing within a kitchen
- Order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director & budgets
- Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
- Be able to hold a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check
- Available to work hours between 8am – 3.30pm
If you hold a Food Handling and Menu Planning certificate, OR a Certificate in Cookery and have experience cooking meals within a child care centre or similar environment, then we’d love to meet you!
