Director of Care Services

Our client is a community owned not-for-profit aged care facility that is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors. The facility has the capacity to house 65 residents, who have chosen to make it their home and live in private and comfortable accommodation. Who pride themselves in the provision of excellent quality care in a friendly, caring, and warm environment.

As the Director of Care Services, you will be expected to work in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the facility to ensure consumers receive kind, caring, respectful and quality care.

The Director of Care Services is responsible for the clinical, care and lifestyle aspects of the organisation.  This will be achieved through effective leadership, team management, continuous improvement and promoting resident quality of life whilst meeting all accreditation and legislative requirements. 

The Director of Care Services will work effectively as part of our executive management team ensuring the development and growth while communicating business changes and strategic direction to staff appropriately.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Proven management and leadership skills
• High level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check

Aged Care management experience, understanding of continuous improvement, Aged Care legislation, funding and standards highly regarded.

The Director of Care Services must:

• Demonstrate interactions with alll key stakeholders that are kind, caring, respectful and ecompass quality care 
• Demonstrate high level skills in clinical nursing 
• demonstrate leadership ability that enables and inspires staff to achieve agreed standards of resident care outcomes 
• suport resident choice & decision-making including dignity of risk 
• Effectively and efficently manage staffing resources
• Demonstrate Knowledge and ability to contrbute to current management practices including (but not limited to) policy development, enhancing inclusive workplace enviroment, participative work practices and staffing training and develpoment 
• Hold a current drivers licence 
• Strong computure literacy
