What's the role?
Our client has a great career opportunity available for an experienced Construction Planner to join their team. This is a diverse and fast-paced role that will see you lead the documentation of construction strategies and methods to produce high quality project schedules supporting both their Group Pre-Contracts and Operational departments. You will be expected to but not limited to -
- Review all relevant precontracts tender material to inform preparation of accurate schedules for the client's infrastructure pursuits;
- Understand construction methodologies to enable development of accurate construction schedules for both precontracts and operations.
- Understand key resources and their allocation within construction schedules.
- Identify risks and opportunities in construction schedules resulting from methodology, weather, resourcing or other factors
What Do I Need to Have/Be To Be Successful?
- Tertiary degree, preferably in either Civil Engineering or Project Management.
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Proven competency with industry standard planning software - Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject - is essential. Time chainage software such as TILOS or TurboChart - is desirable.
- Clear communicator with ability to establish relationships at all levels of organisation.
- Have had exposure to the following - Schedule Reliability Analysis, Last Planner, Critical Path Methodology, Design Planning, Earned Value Management, Schedule Risk Analysis, Forensic Planning.
- Experience performing planning and scheduling of major projects is desirable.
