Your new role
You will sit within the Corporate & Commercial Group providing advice and transactional services in connection with all types of Corporate and Securities matters and Commercial transactions. You will provide specialist Employment and Industrial Relations advice to clients and assist senior lawyers in the C&CG in relation to matters upon which they are engaged including:
- Mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence
- Acquisitions and disposals of all manner of business assets and business ownership interests
- Business and structuring, including pre-IPO structuring and prospectuses and information memoranda, across a diverse range of sectors
What you'll need to succeed
in order to be considered for this opportunity you will have the following experience:
- Admitted to practice in Australia
- Ideally a minimum 10 years' PAE
- Experience advising on all aspects of employment law including employee relations, compliance, termination, anti-discrimination as well as industrial relations and WH&S
- Experience in drafting and reviewing employment contracts and workplace policies
- Capability of researching and interpreting employment legislation and awards
- Experienced in conducting workplace litigation including appearing in Industrial Tribunals and Courts, including defending prosecutions
- High attention to detail and matter management skills
- Able to analyse and solve complex legal problems and commercial issues
