AECOM’s highly regarded and reputable Mackay office is looking for a passionate and highly driven Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer who will set their career on a new trajectory by delivering a wide variety of regionally significant infrastructure projects, utilising existing relationships whilst establishing and identifying new relationships and opportunities throughout the region.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity for an engineer to grow their experience, working as part of a small high performing, supportive regional team of highly skilled specialists. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry renowned peers across our organisation to create whole-of-business success for projects in water, transportation, mining and construction services.
You will be responsible for contributing to and managing a range of projects, working with various clients and sectors. As a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer you may find yourself guiding and mentoring junior engineers, whilst also developing your own skillset and helping the business maintain its strong and impressive pipeline of projects.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree
Proven engineering/design experience (circa 5-10 years) within the water industry
Demonstrated experience in delivering Water Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time
Technical experience in the following areas: municipal gravity and pressure pipelines, pump stations and treatment plants
Experience managing multidisciplinary projects in design phase
Passionate about developing yourself to be a future leader and initiator of our vision to build a better world
Experience in working across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups
Experience covering all aspects of the capital project lifecycle from planning, through design, with knowledge of construction and commissioning. and
Experience in steady state and transient hydraulic modelling preferred but not essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideally holds CPEng and/or RPEQ (or working towards obtaining)
