A FIRE in Ducks Lane, Run ‘O Waters estate, on December 17 is believed to have been started by a piece of wire becoming entangled in a slasher, which caused sparks and caught fire with the grass, police said.

The fire, which started at about 6.45pm, destroyed a heavy vehicle trailer which was parked at the location at the time.

The estimated cost of the damage is believed to be around $20,000.

The cause of the fire is being treated by police as accidental.   

High range PCA 

AT around 8pm on December 19 a 58-year-old male driver was stopped in Tallong for the purpose of a random breath test, which returned a positive result to alcohol.

The driver was conveyed to Goulburn police where he was subjected to a breath analysis which returned a high range reading of .170.

The driver requested a doctor take a blood sample for testing. 

Police conveyed the driver to Goulburn Base Hospital where a doctor took the blood sample for analysis.

He was charged with high range PCA and had his licence suspended. 

He will appear before Goulburn Local Court at a later time.

Drunk and disorderly

AT about 10.40pm on December 22 a 19-year-old male person was asked to leave the Goulburn Workers Club for being intoxicated and argumentative. The male left and a short time later returned and was again asked to leave by security.

The male left and about 10 minutes later he returned.

Security called police who escorted the male from the licensed premises and issued the male with a $550.00 ticket for excluded person re-enter premises.
