A man has been charged following a crash in which a woman suffered serious head injuries in Goulburn on Saturday morning.

The crash happened about 3am on Saturday (December 29) when a 2001-model Holden Calais sedan and a Hyundai Accent hatchback collided at the intersection of Crookwell Road and Marys Mount Road.
The driver of the hatchback, an 18-year-old woman, was trapped in her vehicle before being released by Police Rescue. She was airlifted to Canberra Hospital suffering head injuries and multiple fractures and is currently in a serious but stable condition.
A 19-year-old man, who was a front-seat passenger in the hatchback, sustained minor injuries.
A 20-year-old woman, who was travelling in the rear seat of the sedan, also sustained multiple fractures, while the 28-year-old male front passenger and 17-year-old male rear passenger escaped with minor injuries.
They were taken to Goulburn Base Hospital after being treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Police will allege the driver of the sedan, a 30-year-old man, initially fled the scene but later handed himself into the Goulburn Police Station.
He was charged with negligent driving cause grievous bodily harm and will appear before the Goulburn Local Court on the 23 January 2013. He was then taken to Goulburn Base Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
All involved in the crash are from Goulburn.
