Jake Cooper, 12, and James Greenlees, 15, are the two Goulburn representatives who have qualified for the event, which runs from tomorrow, Saturday January 5 to Sunday January 13.
At the meet swimmers compete against the State’s fastest swimmers for their ages in the events.
Both Jake and James are competing in the 50m freestyle and the 100m breaststroke “Jake and James should be proud of their efforts in the past year,” Goulburn Aquatic Centre manager Monique Meehan said.
“It is such an achievement for them to be qualifying at a State meet for their ages.
“The boys have such natural abilities and it’s a great accomplishment for them. “We are looking forward to building our squad program here at the centre and this is evident through these swimmers.”
A number of carnivals recently have been successful for the Club’s swimmers with many achieving personal best times in their races.
“We wish Jake and James the best of luck in their races,” Ms Meehan said.
“Squads currently run at the Aquatic Centre Monday to Saturday and is available for a number of age groups.”
