Members enjoyed a great day with a treasure hunt, games, a piñata and participated in some of their favourite horse riding activities.
A highlight of the day was recognising the achievements of our Club members through the presentation of our 2012 Awards.
Congratulations to Holly Kay and horse Jacko, winners of the Goulburn Pony Club junior rider of the year award; Tess Shepherd and Shaz, the senior rider of the year combination; Sam Watson and Jerry, recipients of the Chantelle Rankmore Memorial Trophy Award of Excellence for their performance in showjumping; Ruby Shepherd and Smokey, the Kenhurst Pony Club Perpetual Award for Horsemanship winners; Stephanie Stamatellis and horse Sara, who received the Waugh Family Perpetual Trophy for Jumping Excellence; Lily Holmes and Doodlebug, who accepted the Goulburn Pony Club’s President’s Award; Chelsea Mifsud and Kenny, who earned the Goulburn Pony Club Senior Instructor’s Award; and Ella Kay, Charlotte Fouracre, Amy Adams, Chloe Sparrow and Sophie Corkhill, each of who received an encouragement award.
Goulburn Pony Club is starting 2013 with a trail ride on Sunday at Narambulla Lake (between Goulburn and Marulan).
Members both young and old will enjoy a scenic ride with a picnic lunch, followed by a swim. It’s sure to be a great day.
Goulburn Pony Club’s registration and open day will be conducted at Eastgrove Park on Saturday, February 1. The day will run in conjunction with a Car Boot Sale.
We look forward to meeting some new faces and encourage the public to come and sign up to our friendly, enthusiastic club or just to have a look and find out what goes on at Pony Club.
