Truckie Ken Enright parachuting into last year’s Goulburn Australia Day celebrations. The identity of the parachutist injured last night has not yet been released.
The man came to grief after a wind gust blew his parachute slightly off course, sending him into a tree in Victoria Park at about 8.20pm Thursday, police said.
His parachute was caught but he dropped 15 metres to the ground, suffering compound fractures in both legs.
Police and ambulance were quickly on scene. The man was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital.
It's unknown whether another skydiver will be arranged for Saturday's Australia Day event.
