It’s hardly surprising, then, that he was over-the-moon when selected to compete at the ACT Centenary Special Olympics at the AIS this month.
The 21-year-old hasn’t let Down Syndrome dictate his life. This was evident in his performances the weekend before last.
Bradley jagged a bronze medal in the 50 metre breaststroke on top of finishing fourth in the 50m freestyle and fifth in the 100m freestyle.
He backed up in the four by 50m freestyle and medley relays. He helped his team to second and fourth respectively.
Bradley was overwhelmed by the support of locals and thanks those who wished him well. In the meantime, he continues to work in the kitchen at the Goulburn Workers Club and cherishes every opportunity he has to get back into the pool.
