With the official opening coinciding with cup day in December, already visiting trainers from out West, South Coast and the Hunter Valley are heading to Goulburn on Tuesday’s.
Another TAB meeting Tuesday (June 18) and one of the “Good Things” from last week is looking for a consecutive double in race five when Pyjamarama again exits from the one box.
After a nice trial at the track in March, she went to Dapto and finished second twice after leading before having a two months break.
The race experience, being fresh and the drop back to the 350m all combined into success last week despite her surprisingly missing the start.
Sometimes when having a break from racing, freshness cane see the greyhound over keen and miss the start which Pyjamarama did but she was able to drive through to second at the first corner before railing to the front on the home turn.
It is never easy winning a maiden/5th grade back-to-back but she is a capable type and looks well placed against this field tomorrow.
She is trained by Lorriane Perrin and it might be a good day for the lady trainers.
Orange conditioner, Casie O’Neill has a good strike rate at Goulburn and produced Hey Porter to win last week.
Well tried on the NSW TAB Hey Porter led all the way and the rails box tomorrow is again a huge asset.
Another trainer in form is Lisa McFarlane from Jerrawa. She has a number of runners tomorrow but one that deserves a win is Greysynd Chill in race four. He has been placed three of his last four at the track in handy fields and good times. This is not a tough race on Tuesday and at each way odds looks a safe bet.
