A tractor caught fire when it pulled over by the side of the road, RFS community safety officer Peter Dyce said.

The outbreak occurred some 7km from Goulburn at 1.15pm and burnt out a 20 metre by 20m area. The tractor was badly scorched.

Parkesbourne, Pomeroy and Mulwaree Support tankers quickly extinguished the blaze.

However Range Rd remains closed from 730 Range Rd to the Trabal Rd intersection.
