AN inmate has been stabbed and scalded in an altercation at Goulburn Correctional Centre on Tuesday afternoon.

SnowyHydro Southcare Helicopter was tasked to North Park for the medical transfer shortly before 4pm.
Ambulance officers worked for near 45 minutes to stabilise the man before transfer.
Shortly after, Correctional Services Media confirmed to the Post the inmate, who was in the main part of the prison at the time, "was stabbed and had hot water thrown on him".
He was airlifted to hospital for treatment for his injuries, believed to be non-life threatening.
Corrective Services NSW is investigating the incident and NSW Police have been notified.
