Former students are organising a reunion in early September, to be held at the Goulburn Soldiers Club.
The search is on to find all former students of the two Year 6 classes and send out reunion invitations ahead of the September 3 event.
About half have already been contacted and invited through friendships and the Facebook page 'Goulburn Class of 1976 Year 6 Reunion Bourke Street Primary School'.
"If you are a former classmate of either class or know any of the following people - apologies in advance for any spelling errors or omissions - please contact Chris van Aanholt on 0419 287 271," said reunion organiser Karen Shea. "We would also love to hear from you if you have the yearbooks or any photos of these classes from kindy (1970) to Year 6 (1976)."
Class members the reunion team are still searching for include: Carolyn Haine, Colin Smith, Craig Evans, Debbie Canty, Debbie Scott, Edward Bradley, Eric Coleman, Garry Herman, Graeme Tapper, Graham Clack, Ian Carmichael, Jenny Wicks, Kenneth Aldridge, Lee Atkinson, Margaret Clack, Maria George, Mark Thorn, Michael Booth, Phillip Mackley, Rhonda Crouch, Sandra Hogan, Susan Miller, Susan Thomas, Trevor Crawford, Vikki Coggan and Wendy Churchill.
The former Bourke St Primary was one of the first to be founded in the district (1868) and Goulburn Public will hold big celebrations of 150 years of schooling in 2018.
"The Goulburn Public School would love to hear from you if you have any photos or memorabilia to add to their collection," Mrs Shea said.
"The History Room at the school has a selection of photos and material; however, they would appreciate assistance from the community for further contributions."
To submit any photos or historic material for the collection, contact the school on 4821 2827.
