A spokesperson from the NSW Rural Fire Service said they took the call at about 5am.
“The truck was well-alight. It was a mixed load but there were some gas bottles on it that were venting, so fire crews from the Towrang Rural Fire Brigade were called to assist Mulwaree Support brigade and they quickly extinguished the blaze,” the spokesperson said.
“The Boxer’s Creek off ramp to the Hume Highway was closed until about 1pm, when fire crews deemed the gas bottles to be safe.”
He said the truck was completely destroyed but there were no reported injuries.
