The Goulburn Mulwaree Council was awarded $1,626,582 over the 2016/17 financial year in external grant funding, according to a report released on Friday.

The funding bodies have ranged from Veolia Mulwaree Trust, NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).
The highest amount of money ($1,250,000) was awarded by the federal government for the Rocky Hill War Memorial Museum upgrade. Other larger grants were also received from the RMS ($695,000) this June for the Highlands Way Black Spot Funding and $500,000 from Transport NSW for a new truck wash on site for Southern Meats.
Grants for the Belmore Park CCTV project and the Rural Road Maintenance REF Expansion were unsuccessful.
Grant submissions for the Performing Arts Centre, Goulburn Crookwell Rail Trail, the Seiffert Oval Pavilion upgrade and the Goulburn Mulwaree Floodplain Risk Management plan is estimated to be announced in the next month or two.
