Infants, children and even dogs were covered in green for headspace’s mental health awareness event ‘Out of the Shadows and into the Light’.
“Everyone is carrying a green headspace balloon in support of those with mental health issued and to let everyone know that we’ve got their backs,” youth worker and community engagement officer Robyn Young said.
headspace services manager Loeniee Everett added the main message was connectedness.
“There’s a big barrier for a lot of people asking for help but particularly young people feeling that they're alone with what they’re going through, and judged if they speak up,” she said.
“It’s OK to have this conversation.”
