A semi trailer tanker carrying Mount Franklin water was in an opportune position to help NSW Rural Fire Service control a truck fire on the Hume Highway at Berimma.
The crash, which happened before 9am on Wednesday morning resulted in a blaze.
With both lanes of the Hume Highway closed to traffic and diversions in place, it was sheer luck that a truck carrying 4,500 litres Mount Franklin water was on the scene.
The NSW RFS tweeted a video of the truck with a hose connected pumping water from the tankers.
“Right place at the right time. 45000L of Mt Franklin water assisting with the truck crash on Hume Hwy near Berrima,” the tweet read.

Glad we could be there to help, even just supplying extra water. Am told our driver is also an RFS member!— Coca-Cola Amatil (@CocaColaAmatil) October 11, 2017
The north bound lane is still closed as of 2.20pm.
The fire has been contained.
