Cold weather kept numbers down for the Kids Day Out at Goulburn Racecourse on Sunday but those youngsters who attended enjoyed a host of activities including the petting pen, mechanical bull ride and face painting.

Goulburn jockey Kathy O'Hara had several rides on the day, before her big date as the only female jockey to score a ride on a Melbourne Cup entry.
In the Mini Racegoer Fashions stakes on Sunday, the winner was Isabella Gagin, followed by little Harvey Copman and Lacey Herwell in third. The Young racegoer first prize went to Georgia Foot from Canberra followed by Jack Kelly, also from Canberra, then local girl Gracey Quick third.
The Fashions on the Field for young race goers was judged by sponsor Vicki Rabjohns of Best Western, Goulburn assisted by Beau Cosgrove who presented the winners with their prizes.
Goulburn Racing Club CEO Robyn Fife said the club was hoping for fine, warmer weather for Saturday's Girls’ Day Out race meeting which gets underway about 11am. Gates open at 10am.
