MELBOURNE CUP LUNCH
Thirty residents headed out to watch the Cup when they were attracted by the three-course menu at the Taralga Hotel on Tuesday. Ladies took the opportunity to bring out their colourful outfits with hats and fascinators. Prizes were given by Mary, the publican, for the best fascinator, which was won by Rosemary Peoples, and the best colour co-ordinated outfit, which was worn by Sue Lambert.

LARGE AND SMALL
Animals large and small were bought to the annual Pet Show at St Luke’s on Sunday – there were poddy calves and a lizard, a ferret and a guinea pig. Reverend Sallyanne Hart said the entries equalled last year and thanked everyone for their support, with a special mention of the fire brigade who worked on the barbecue.
CEMETERY COMMITTEE AGM
The annual meeting of the ULSC 355 Stonequarry Cemetery Committee will be held at the cemetery at 2pm on Saturday, November 25. The newly completed toilet will be open for inspection. This was funded by Veolia Mulwaree Trust and the Upper Lachlan Shire Council. Everyone is welcome.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Sunday, December 10, the Club will host the annual Christmas Party for children of members and friends.
There will be a jumping castle, face painting, craft, cricket and a visit from Santa Claus. The fun is from 3-7pm and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The day will conclude with a monster raffle. The snack bar will also be open.
Bingo with a Christmas theme will be held on December 3 at 2.30pm.
There was a very successful Calcutta held at the Club on Saturday, November 4. The winners were; first- Shannon, Rosie and Brie with second- Lisa and third Elliott connections.
It is hoped to have the ladies facilities refurbished before Christmas.
PONY CLUB GYMKHANA
Fifty-four riders from Braidwood, Breadalbane, Crookwell, Goulburn, Marulan and Taralga attended the recent Taralga Pony Club Gymkhana.
Champion riders were; C. Selmes, C. Cramp, C. Burch, G. Brown, P. Quick, R. Tyrevor, and A. Nicholls. Reserve champions were: R. McGrath, S. Marshall, M. Fuller, H. Butcher and A. White.
The Lamb Family Trophy was won by Charlie Cramp. The person of the Year was voted Del Corby.
Pony Club President, Kim Croker thanked everyone for their attendance with a special thank you to the CWA ladies for catering for the event.
