Wakefield Park has rounded out its 2017 racing season with a rain soaked Australian Auto Sport Alliance (AASA) NSW State Championship meeting which featured super trucks, X3s, Pulsars, Legend Cars and miniature race cars. After practice and qualifying on Saturday the truck drivers and race management decided to call the truck races off for the day, after a serious crash in race one.  On the first run to the corner on Saturday afternoon Frank Amorosa’s Kenworth hit a sheet of water running across the track and aquaplaned into the tyre wall. This probably would not have been so bad, if the #12 KaraKar Izuzu hadn’t done a similar thing and slammed into the Kenworth’s side.
