A recent ad on their website for casual Museum Attendant listed a “commencing salary between $32.38 - $36.45 per week, plus 9.5% superannuation.”
While the job sounded interesting and is obviously of value to the community, we doubt that anyone would work for $32 a week.
This is not the first time we have caught a slip of a decimal point for a job advertisement. We are sure the council provides higher wages to their employees, but we are afraid if these corrections aren’t fixed, the bait will slip off the hook.
Confusion in renovation
While it may have been months since Aldi unravelled its new renovations, confusion ensues among shoppers in the aisles of the German multi million dollar supermarket chain.
Let’s start with the positives. Dimmer lighting lends to a more chic environment, and it appears the organisation of goods have drastically improved for a store which essentially sells good from boxes propped on shelves.
Though despite this, there are many who still hold the old layout close to their heart and are aimlessly retracing their steps for a bottle of soy sauce or some canned veggies. To those still confused, there is a map at the front of the door.
Don’t drink and drive
If you are planning to have a good time at the Blues Festival this weekend, the good news is you can catch a Blues Bus to and from gigs.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is partnering with RMS to offer free travel.
Pickups are available from 4pm to 7pm Friday - and from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday.
The bus service head to all motels in town, as well as four points for locals - Carr Convoy Oval, Blue Hills Shops (Combermere Street), Bradfordville Shopping Centre and the corner of Crookwell Road and Mary’s Mount Road.
Those who catch the bus can also get a $10 taxi voucher to use on their way home. This deal sounds just as good as the music expected to come at the festival !
