Chasing Crookwell’s first innings score of 167, Josh Lumsdon set the tone for the match with a quick 28 before being well caught by Paul Bishop in slips off the bowling of Sam Cramp.
Macleay Robinson and Jordon Gregory continued to plunder the Crookwell bowlers. Gregory made a sharp 22 and fell after a mistimed shot off Hugh Shipton’s bowling was safely held by Chris Duffy.
Robinson looked in complete control, scoring at will, as he finished the innings unbeaten on 64, including a massive six hit over mid-on. Isabella Greig made comfortable 19 to complete the innings, with Wollondilly reaching the target off just 26 overs at more than six an over.
Robinson was very pleased with the team’s effort. “Everyone made a valuable contribution, and we can be confident going into the Grand Final.” said Robinson after the game.
The Grand Final will take place next weekend against the seasons front runners Trinity in what looks likely to be a cracking game.
