Over the weekend of Friday to Sunday, April 27 to 29, two of Australia's finest free fliers return to Adrenalin Skydive to coach participants in freefly, angles and tracking skills. The participants in the coaching clinic learn to coordinate their skydiving skills and to the observer it appears that they are 'dancing in the skies'. Anyone interested in learning more about the sport of skydiving is more than welcome to come and watch. Food and refreshments will be available from our licensed cafe. Open 9am to 5pm each day. On Friday, April 27, 10am-noon at the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery on Bourke Street. Create your own tiny glittery wonderland by moulding an animal or figure in modelling clay and sealing it in a plastic jar full of water and glitter. For ages 6 years and older. Cost: $20 per child. The Hope Ball
On Saturday, April 28, from 6.30pm the ball is the launch event for Goulburn and district’s Relay for Life 2018. All funds raised go to the Cancer Council Relay for Life to save lives, beat cancer, fund research and support local programs. Convoy for Kids – Golf Day
On Sunday, April 29, registered charity Convoy for Kids will raise money to help support kids with severe disabilities, with a golf fundraiser. Enter as a team, four-person ambrose, with an 11am shotgun start . Cost: $35 per person, with $1000 to be won with a hole-in-one on the 8th. Barbecue lunch provided. On Thursday, May 3, Dave Eastgate heads to Goulburn to headline at the Goulburn Club on Market Street. The actor, stand-up comedian, writer and musician lives in Sydney and, in 2017, performed in Ronnie Chieng: International Student on ABC TV. Line-up begins at 7.30pm (to 9.30pm). Pictures and Popcorn – ‘May the Fourth’
Get ready for 2018's second instalment of Goulburn's favourite event Pictures and Popcorn – May the Fourth at Veolia Arena, featuring Star Wars: The Force Awakens screened across a giant 10-metre screen. Enjoy the all-free Kids Zone featuring laser tag, Jedi lightsaber training, mobile gaming van, Star Wars characters and so much more. Eat Street will return with a range of cuisines from Indian, Russian, Asian to pizza, burgers, chips on a stick and everything in-between. The 2018 Goulburn Art Award
Until Friday, April 27, see the Goulburn Art Award at the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery on Bourke Street. Running since 1992, the award presents an exhibition of the best works across mediums, as well as supporting high schools with a Young Artist Award. Phone: 4823 4494
The Marulan Art Exhibition
On Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29 (held every weekend) in the memorial hall on George Street, the exhibition features works by Marulan region artists, with exhibits changing on a quarterly basis. Artist of the Month
Until Sunday, April 29, Gallery on Track's 'Artist of the Month' is Kjell Goyer, a talented teaching musician and guitarist, who will be showcasing a number of his hand-crafted books, different styles with different types of binding and materials, during his exhibition, Binding Musician. Unearthing Riversdale - Finding History
Until Sunday, May 27 at Riversdale, built near the land chosen by Governor Macquarie in 1820 as the township of Goulburn Plains, an historic National Trust property. The Unearthing Riversdale exhibition features items from the diverse past of the 1830s property; a unique opportunity to see artefacts from the pioneering days of Goulburn. Open: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, 10am to 2pm, Twynam Drive. Admission: adult $8, concession $5, National Trust members and children under 12, free.
Armistice: The End of the War to End All Wars
The Remembrance Museum, part of the grounds of Mulwaree High School on McDermott Drive, contains militaria from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts right back to the New Zealand Maori War, fought in the mid-19th century. Continuing with the recognition of the Centenary of WWI, this year the focus is on Armistice. Open 2pm to 4pm, every Sunday (April 29). Admission by gold coin donation. Phone: 4821 2587
