It was a mixed day for the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs in Queanbeyan on Saturday, after their first and reserve grade teams both lost to a strong Queanbeyan Kangaroos outfit.

Meanwhile, their Under 18 team continued its undefeated season against Queanbeyan, and their League Tag team enjoyed a well-earned bye.
Bulldogs first grade coach, Adam Kyle, said that his team was focusing on their own game in the leadup to the match, however the Queanbeyan Kangaroos proved that their perenially good form remained too strong, and they pushed past the Bulldogs 44-12.
The reserve grade match was closer than the first grade, however Queanbeyan dealt with the pressure admirably and emerged victories 24-12.
The accolades were spread evenly throughout the Queanbeyan reserves side, with no player scoring more than one try in the match, and they finished with five try scorers overall.
Salvation came for the Goulburn club in the form of their Under 18’s side.
Having seen their two senior sides going down, the U18’s were valiant and ground out a tough match against a determined Queanbeyan team to come out on top and follow on from their dominant wins over Tuggeranong and Gungahlin.
