Award-winning entertainers Rhonda Burchmore OAM and Lara Mulcahy will present ABBA-solutely Fabulous.

The original dynamos from the worldwide sensation Mamma Mia! will continue to delight with their irresistible humour and explosive renditions of songs.

Burchmore said the storyline would follow Rhonda and Lara’s spin on being obsessed ABBA fans growing up, when they both dreamed of what it would be like to be Frida or Agnetha, and had crushes on Benny and Bjorn.

Burchmore said ABBA-solutely fabulous was not a tribute band, but so much more than that.

“We don’t try to be like ABBA. There’s so many tribute bands that try to be like the fab four, but that’s not us,” she said.

“We will present a show about friendship, girl power and growing up never being able to attend an ABBA concert.”

Burchmore promised it would be a show that would cater for all ages.

“There’s something magical about ABBA’s songs and melodies that have endured right through the years,” she said.

“You can’t go to a party without them playing an ABBA song, and it’s not a party without a Dancing Queen.”

Burchmore said the most important thing to her about this show was that those who attended had a great night out.

“I want them to be able to sing and dance non-stop,” she said.

“It doesn’t matter what age you are.

“Anyone can celebrate life and all that goes with it, while reliving the magic of the ‘70s and ‘80s.”

Burchmore and Mulcahy will do a meet and greet and the end of the show.
