A truck carrying propane gas was extensively damaged on Sunday May 5, when it veered off the road and collided with a metal guard rail.

The accident took place on the Federal Highway near Bywong at approximately 1pm.
Police report that the truck veered left as it approached the Bungendore Road intersection.
The truck drove over a concrete divider, damaging its front left tyre.
The truck then continued for approximately 120 metres, before coming to rest against the railing.
The driver was not seriously injured.
Both the truck and guard rail were extensively damaged.
Emergency services attended the scene, and found that the truck’s gas tank was not leaking. The driver was breath-tested and returned a negative result.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
Police have reminded drivers to take care on the roads.
