Goulburn Mulwaree Council and Goulburn Rotary will host a driving run to help seniors sharpen their skills.
The Grey Driving Skill Enhancement Run is designed to test road rules and differing conditions.
Participants will drive on the chosen route followed by further safe driving tips and a free lunch.
Council’s Road Safety Officer Tracey Norberg said it was important that senior drivers continue to improve on their skills.
“We know that seniors want to continue to hold a licence for as long as possible into their later years. Continuing to refine and improve your driving skills will ensure that our older residents are able to keep their licence and stay safe as long as possible.”
“Statistics show that our aged have been over-represented in crashes and fatalities on our roads, and we want to ensure that the senior drivers of Goulburn remain safe on the road.”
The day is supported by Goulburn Rotary and sponsored by the Astor Hotel with vouchers to be won on the day.
The Grey Driving Skill Enhancement Run will be on May 20 from 10am.
