Over 20 local not-for-profit groups will be attending offering information on volunteering opportunities available.
Organiser Julianne Salway said this is the fourth time the Expo will be held.
“If last year is anything to go by it should be a big success,” Ms Salway said.
“Some organisations, such as The Red Cross, have an online application process for volunteers making it easier and faster for volunteers to be processed and matched with our clients on the day.
“This really is a one-stop-shop for people looking for ways they can help in their local community.
So far we have coming: Red Cross, Angels for the Forgotten, SES, Home-Start, St John Ambulance, MHS Remembrance Museum, Celebrate Goulburn Group, Goulburn Health Service, Community Plus, Meals on Wheels, Riversdale and the Goulburn Historic Waterworks.
“Volunteering is a great way to become and stay involved in their local community, make new friends, learn new and retain existing skills, be social, healthy and active,” she said.
The expo is an initiative of the Goulburn Volunteer Resource Service which promotes volunteering, registers not-for-profit organisations who need volunteers, refers volunteers to registered organisations with volunteer positions available.
