The largest women’s golf tournament in over 10 years will be held in Goulburn from May 28 to 30. The 130 registrations, with handicaps ranging from 5 to 45, were received from 25 clubs. One regular visitor to Goulburn from Norfolk Island was given a Miscellaneous Membership by the VWGA so that she can participate.

Monday will consist of a “Meet and Greet” where each player will receive a sample bag containing promotional gifts and information showcasing Goulburn and surrounds. Visitors will also have the opportunity to join local players in a pre-match practice game.
Tuesday’s main competition in three divisions will be a Stableford with extra trophies and even a Super Duper Vet prize for the over 80’s competitors. Additionally, a big feature each day will be a $100 prize awarded for a Supershot NTP on the 11th Hole. Wednesday will be a 4BBB team competition with plenty of friendly rivalry.
On Tuesday night the Goulburn Golf Club ladies will host a dinner, which will be attended by Mayor Bob Kirk and representatives from the Veteran Women’s Golf Association of NSW.
