It started at the Bungonia National Park on a lovely brisk morning to visit the lookouts to view the Boral Limestone Quarry across the gorge at Marulan South.
Many members had never visited this area and did not have any idea of its vast depths to the creek and river.
But for member Edna Kirkby, it was like returning home as she had spent her childhood living in Bungonia.
As usual, a most delicious morning tea of sandwiches, cakes, slices and muffins was enjoyed.
After leaving Bungonia Lookout, we then travelled on to Tarago via Windellama.
A lot of folk had never seen this part of the countryside before so this made things a bit more interesting.
We stretched out legs with a walk of the Tarago Village before entering The Loaded Dog Hotel where Nicole made sure we did not leave hungry.
I can fully recommend the hotel as a good place to have lunch.
From Tarago, we travelled to Bungendore where we once again stretched the legs, did some shopping, drank coffee and consumed ice creams while sitting in the delightful sunshine.
The last stop was the Anderson VC rest area at the southern end of Lake George for a quick draw of our raffle, then it was on our way home back to Goulburn.
Once again, yet another great day out thanks to our most capable driver, Bob, who had to dodge two kangaroos and a dog that wandered onto the road.
Well done and thank you for getting us home safely.
