Residents took to social media to complain about the lack of water this morning.
Goulburn Mulwaree utilities director Marina Hollands said it was a break in one of the city’s 300ml pipes that feed Eastgrove,
The broken pipe is located i a paddock across the road from Carr Confoy Oval.
“It has caused a small lake in that paddock,” Mrs Hollands said.
“The big reservoir on top of the hill feeds customers from May St and Ada St upwards – so those residents would not have been affected.
“The residents below those streets are fed directly from town so that’s why they have been effected.
“There are two services feeding these areas with water – the smaller pipe was was broken.
“We have it fixed and the water should be turned on within the hour,” she said at 11.30am.
